This search functionality combines standard content search with a dedicated people search feature in the one, making it simple to locate colleagues or information.
This enables users to select between two tabs:
- full search database with documents, articles and other resources
- people search database with staff details
FB Rice’s intranet integrates this helpful search capability, enabling staff to locate colleagues and content effortlessly by switching between the tabs.
Staff across offices and remote locations can now access colleague details—such as staff codes, photos, or availability—through a single system, eliminating the need to navigate multiple platforms. Integration with Active Directory also means new employees are automatically added to the intranet.
Federated search also pulls in results from their public website, so the team don’t need to double handle information.
